SBI outage: Users report facing issues with mobile banking, fund transfers

State Bank of India (SBI) services are currently experiencing downtime, impacting mobile banking, ATM withdrawals, and fund transfers. The disruption, which began around 8:15 am, is attributed to annual closing activities scheduled between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm today. SBI advises using UPI Lite and ATM channels during this period. State Bank of India (SBI) services are facing a downtime with users reporting issues with mobile banking, ATM withdrawals and more. According to website performance tracking platform - Downdetector, the outage started around 8:15am in the morning today. It peaked around 11:45 with over 800 complaints.

SBI outage: service impacted and other details

According to Downdetector.com, about 64% of reports are related to mobile banking, 33% to fund transfer and a 3% to ATM issues.SBI has issued an official statement, confirming the service disruption. It said “Due to Annual Closing activities our digital Services will be unavailable to our esteemed customers between 01:00 pm to 04:00 pm (1ST) on 01.04.2025. We request you to use UPI Lite and ATM Channels for uninterrupted services. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”
The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has also informed that some banks services may also be affected. “Today due to financial year closing, some of the banks are facing intermittent transaction declines. UPI system is working fine, and we are working with the concerned banks for necessary redressal,” NPCI’s post reads.(This is a developing story)
