BIJNOR: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by six men in front of her fiancé in UP's Bijnor district on the night of May 10, police said on Thursday.
The accused, from the same village, held her fiancé before taking turns to violate her. They also filmed the act.
Initially, the traumatised woman remained quiet and only spoke about her ordeal when the accused circulated the video on social media.
Bijnor SP, Abhishek Jha, said, "The woman approached the cops on Tuesday night. She said six villagers gang-raped her when she went to talk to her fiancé on the village outskirts. An FIR was registered against three named and three unknown persons under BNS sections 70 (1) (gang rape) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) and sections of the IT Act."
The SP added: "Three of them were arrested, and the rest have been identified and will be nabbed soon."
