Pat Connaughton showcased his impressive dual-sport abilities at Notre Dame, excelling in both basketball and baseball. In 2014, he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fourth round of the MLB Draft, receiving a signing bonus of $428,000. Rather than blowing that money on luxuries, he smartly invested it in real estate near his college, paving the way for his plans.



Pat Connaughton made a quick switch from baseball to basketball, landing with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2018 to kick off his NBA journey. Alongside that, he started Three Leaf Partners, a real estate firm based in Milwaukee.



Their focus is on a range of projects, including multi-family and mixed-use developments, to enhance communities through thoughtful real estate practices.

Pat Connaughton’s $45 Million Downtown Wauwatosa Project Set to Deliver 153 Apartments

Under Connaughton's guidance, Three Leaf Partners has really taken off. The firm has snagged industrial properties totaling around 700,000 square feet and has been involved in several development projects.


A couple of standout projects are a $92 million development in Hartland with 267 apartments and a $70 million project in West Allis that includes 247 apartments.


They also launched a $17 million building with 55 apartments near Downer Avenue in Milwaukee and received approvals for a $45 million project that will add 153 apartments in downtown Wauwatosa.


Three Leaf Partners takes a different route than typical developers; they put a strong focus on creating projects that are sustainable and have a positive impact on the community.

Out of the 125 investors within Three Leaf Partners around half are professional athletes who include players from the NBA as well as coaches alongside NFL and MLB members. Connaughton recognizes that retired athletes struggle financially so he organized business partnerships to launch his real estate projects.
