Hulk Hogan, a member of the
WWE Hall of Fame, attended this past Monday's RAW premiere on Netflix. Just prior to the CM Punk vs.
Seth Rollins main event, the legend appeared with Jimmy Hart for a quick promotional appearance about the Real American Beer.
How Hulk Hogan Feels About WWE Fans Turning on Him During RAW Appearance
One of the biggest stars in the industry, the Hulkster is constantly praised by fans. Unfortunately, he was jeered out of the Intuit Dome by the Los Angeles fans this time. Sportskeeda's Dr. Chris Featherstone has been told by people familiar with the matter that Hogan acknowledged that the response might have been influenced by politics. It was said that "he stood for what they didn't stand for." The Hall of Famer reportedly "thought it was going to be 50/50" going into the liberal city of Los Angeles, so he was not surprised by the response.
There may be more consideration going forward for the cities in which he decides to make live appearances and market his brand to professional wrestling fans. His backlash may be unfamiliar to fans abroad, and his domestic booing does not accurately represent how he is viewed abroad.
In addition to Hogan, the show featured other industry icons like
The Undertaker,
John Cena, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Since he declared his intention to compete in the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match on February 1, 2025, Cena's appearance was not an isolated incident. The start of his Farewell Tour was last night.
Hulk Hogan talked candidly about
Donald Trump's assassination attempt a few months ago during an in-person interview with
Patrick Bet-David's PBD Podcast. On July 13, 2024, Donald Trump escaped an attempted assassination while speaking at an outdoor campaign rally in Pennsylvania. After being shot, the WWE Hall of Famer suffered injuries to his upper right ear. Hogan described this experience and said it had a profound impact on him:
"When they tried to kill [Donald] Trump, someone that I knew personally, it affected me worse and I sat up off the couch. I said that's it, this has to stop. I don't want to split my audience as a businessman, but now I don't care. This is much more than business, this is a spiritual revolution now. This guy is coming out trying to help people, he wants to help millions of people, he wants to help America have god in our country and our homes and our schools, and I said I can't handle it," Hulk Hogan said.
