“Disgraceful”: Josh Allen’s fiancée Hailee Steinfeld ’s new lead role stirs controversy among fans days after being mocked over her bond with Michael B. Jordan

Josh Allen’s fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld, has had a pretty good time in the last few months. Josh Allen proposed to Hailee Steinfeld in November 2024, and now the BAFTA nominated actress is basking in the success of her new movie, Sinners. But it seems like her new project has raised many eyebrows, and fans are not happy with it.


Josh Allen’s fiancee, Hailee Steinfeld, starred in the popular TV series, Hawkeye, alongside Jeremy Renner. While the first season was released back in 2021, the next season has sparked a controversy.
In a recent interview with High Performance, Hailee Steinfeld’s co-star Jeremy Renner said, “They asked me to do Season 2, and they offered me half the money. I’m like, ‘Well, it’s going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money, and eight months of my time.’”
A few days later, MyTimeToShineHello made a post on X that read as, “Despite Jeremy Renner’s decision to not do it, a season 2 of Hawkeye is still moving forward with Hailee Steinfeld as the lead” and this has sparked a controversy.

A fan took to X and posted, “We are not watching a show called Hawkeye without Hawkeye”, while another fan wrote, “This was Disney's plan all along, low ball Renner into quitting just so they can make her the lead. Disgraceful.”
A third fan commented, “Let’s make a show named after a guy without the guy 😂”, while another user wrote, “I like her, and like her character but I don’t think this is a good move nor should it continue with Jeremey. 🤷‍♂️”

However, other fans have supported Hailee Steinfeld. A fan commented, “She was always the lead, Renner was a supporting character which is why he had a smaller salary. He can throw his fit but this is what we want. More Hailee .”
Another fan wrote, “I'll be honest, I really like Hailee Steinfeld. She was so good in True Grit and I've enjoyed her acting in Hawkeye season 1 and her voice work in Arcane. I'll definitely check out Hawkeye season 2.”
Josh Allen’s fiancee and the True Grit actress, Hailee Steinfeld, is yet to react to the speculations around her casting. For the time being, the famous actress is busy celebrating the success of her new movie even though many fans have trolled her for her bond with Sinners’ co-star Michael B. Jordan.
Hailee Steinfeld’s bond with Michael B. Jordan in their promotional videos had also raised eyebrows but the actors have remained professional and have not commented on it yet. Josh Allen also has not commented on the speculations yet but has appreciated Hailee Steinfeld.
