Siddharth Nigam, known for his role in 'Hai Junoon', recently revealed that when he was invited to audition for 'Dhoom 3', he initially suspected it was a fraud. Playing the younger version of Aamir Khan’s character in the film, Siddharth admitted he feared being tricked or taken advantage of before realising the opportunity was genuine.Unfamiliarity with BollywoodLooking back, Nigam admitted to Hindustan Times that he was completely unfamiliar with Bollywood at the time. He said, “When Yash Raj Films called me, Shanoo ma’am called me, we were scared. We had nobody in Mumbai where they were calling us. Where will we go? I literally wondered if it was a fake call. I am a Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India audience. I thought Mumbai bula ke bech diya to dikkat ho jayegi. I genuinely had no idea what Yash Raj Films is and who is Shanoo ma’am.”Realising the Significance of the Opportunity
In time, Siddharth’s brother researched Yash Raj Films and Shanoo Sharma to realise how important the chance was. Reflecting on the experience, Siddharth said, “And they embraced me with open arms,” referring to the warm welcome he received from both YRF and the film community.
Childhood and Early LifeHe also reflected on his childhood in Prayagraj, explaining that he had no knowledge of the film industry at the time. His mother ran a small parlour, and he was focused on gymnastics. He mentioned that he doesn’t consider himself to have struggled much because he believes that God blessed him with opportunities at a very early age.
