Vvan: Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's horror movie gets NEW 15 May 2026 release date

The release date for the much-anticipated horror-thriller Vvan: Force of the Forest, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, has officially been announced. The film is now set to hit theatres on May 15, 2026, a shift from its earlier Chhath 2025 release plan.Taking to social media, Sidharth Malhotra shared the update with a cryptic tweet, “The forest has whispered. The force will be unleashed on 15th May, 2026! Get ready for the big screen adventure! #VVAN - Force of the Forest releasing on 15th May, 2026.”The announcement came alongside a haunting, poster of fiery red eyes amidst a forest backdrop with an ancient temple hidden deep within. Prior to this, the makers had dropped an AI-generated teaser video that showed actress Tamannaah Bhatia walking through a dense, shadowy forest holding a diya. A previous teaser featured Sidharth's character in a similar forest setting, wielding a torch.Described as a narrative "rooted in Indian mythology and mysticism," Vvan promises a gripping tale inspired by ancient folklore and spiritual themes. The production house’s post added, “Delighted to welcome @tamannaahspeaks to this powerful narrative — a force in her own right, ready to command the screen like never before.”According to reports, Vvan is expected to blend supernatural horror with mythological elements, a genre that has seen renewed interest in Indian cinema in recent years.With its new summer 2026 release date, the film will come in 2 weeks after the highly awaited 'Avengers: Doomsday' that will see Robert Downey Jr return as an iconic villain, Doctor Doom. The film is touted to be one of the biggest Marvel film releases of the year and is expected to hit the Billion dollar mark, much like the Russo Brothers' previous film 'Avengers: Endgame' that also went on to become among the top 5 Highest Grossing Hollywood releases of all time.On the personal front, shifting of the film's release date would give Sid enough time with the newest addition of his family.
