'Kesari 2' Plagiarism row ends with filmmakers 'amicably resolving' issue with poet Yahya Bootwala

Following the release of Akshay Kumar’s 'Kesari Chapter 2', the film became embroiled in a plagiarism controversy after YouTuber and poet Yahya Bootwala accused the makers of using lines from his original poem about Jallianwala Bagh without his permission. However, Yahya has since confirmed that the issue has been amicably resolved.
Yahya Bootwala who went public with the allegations on his handle, took to Instagram to share a note that read, "So dosto, the producers and I have managed to amicably solve the issue in the best interest of both parties. Thank you guys for your support in these 2 days, you guys have been very kind."
He made headlines over the weekend when he posted a video comparing his poem with a scene from 'Kesari Chapter 2', featuring Ananya Panday delivering a moving dialogue that he said, was very similar to his poem.

Sharing the video, he wrote, "So @nisoooooooooorg sent me a clip 4 days back from the movie 'Kesari 2' of dialogues he felt were copied from my poem, titled Jallianwala Bagh, published 5 years ago on @unerasepoetry YouTube channel. Here are the two clips and honestly, this is a clear copy-paste and it’s not like they’ve tried to hide it as well, matlab phusphusana jaisa shabd bhi uthaya hai (They have even lifted words like phusphasana). As writers, the worst thing you can do to a fellow writer is pick their material up, blatantly use it without giving credits, and this is what I feel dialogue writer @sumit.saxena.35912 has done here."
'Kesari Chapter 2', directed by Karan Singh Tyagi is performing well at the box office, grossing Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. This historical courtroom drama is based on the life of C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who fought against the British after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar plays Nair, R. Madhavan portrays British lawyer R. Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday stars as a young lawyer named Dilreet Gill.
