Amitabh Bachchan pens a heartfelt note for the late Ratan Tata says ‘an era has just passed away..’

Ratan Tata, the esteemed industrialist, passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 86. His death has sent shockwaves through India, particularly within the film industry, where numerous celebrities have expressed their grief and admiration for his contributions to society.
Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has took to social media to pay tribute to Tata, stating “An era has just passed away ..his humility, his great resolve , his vision and his determination to accomplish the very best for the Nation, ever a pride..It was my greatest honour to have had an opportunity and privilege to work together towards common humanitarian causes ..A very sad day ..my prayers”
Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a photograph of himself with Ratan Tata. In his post, he reflected on Tata’s remarkable qualities and their collaborative work on humanitarian initiatives. He emphasized that it was a “greatest honour” to have worked with Tata.

Alia Bhatt remarked on Tata’s legacy of generosity and leadership, stating that he “taught multiple generations what it is to give.” She called him perhaps “the most impactful human being of all time” and noted that his influence would be felt for years to come. Similarly, Priyanka Chopra expressed her gratitude for Tata’s kindness and dedication to the country, acknowledging that his legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
Ratan Tata was not only known for his business acumen but also for his passion for cinema. In 2004, he co-produced the film 'Aetbaar,' a romantic psychological thriller directed by Vikram Bhatt. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan alongside John Abraham and Bipasha Basu and explored themes of obsession and familial relationships. Although 'Aetbaar' did not achieve critical acclaim, it remains a testament to Tata’s diverse interests beyond industry.
Ratan Tata's last rites are scheduled for today, October 10 at Mumbai's Worli crematorium after 4 PM. Prior to this solemn event, his mortal remains were made available for public viewing at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai from 10 AM to 4 PM. This gesture allowed countless admirers and citizens an opportunity to pay their final respects to a man who profoundly impacted both industry and society.
