Her father, Balakrishna Naik, has publicly made serious allegations against his daughter, accusing her and her husband of deceit and betrayal. Speaking to the media, Balakrishna claimed he was not properly invited to the wedding and expressed his disapproval of the marriage. He went on to call the couple "thieves," alleging that Chaitra’s mother supported their union for financial gain. “They bonded me for the sake of money,” he said, adding that he was asked for financial help during the wedding despite his modest job at a hotel. He accused Sreekanth of residing in their house without dignity, claiming the couple has tarnished the family’s reputation. In a swift and sharp response, Chaitra took to social media to address her father's accusations. In a post, she wrote, “Only those who have suffered because of a drunkard father will understand. No child deserves a drunkard father.
